Richard leads Mercer's MDDS for the Investments business in the US. In this capacity, he led the successful launch of MDDS in 2010 and continues to lead the ongoing development of the solution, from strategy development though effective implementation.

Prior to taking on this role, Richard was a senior consultant and actuary in Mercer's Retirement Risk & Finance business, consulting to large plan sponsors on the design, finance and risk management of their retirement programs. In this capacity, Richard led the development of several innovative Mercer offerings, including Mercer Frozen Plan Solutions.

Richard has more than 25 years of experience in employee benefits consulting for midsize and large corporations, including seven in Europe.

Richard is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (London), Associate of the Society of Actuaries, member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary.
