Meet the speakers
Kweku Obed
Principal

Kweku is a Principal in the Chicago office of Mercer's Investments business. His responsibilities include working with DB, DC and financial intermediary clients on asset allocation, performance measurement and analysis, evaluating and selecting investment managers, and developing investment policies and objectives. Kweku is a member of the US Alternatives SRT and the US Real Estate SRT.

Prior to joining Mercer, Kweku worked at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now part of BlackRock) as an Assistant Vice President in the tax-exempt fixed-income research group, producing credit research and surveillance reports for long-term, money market and separately managed portfolios and mutual funds.

Kweku received his bacehelor's degree (with honors) in economics from Queen Mary College, University of London and his master's degree in development economics from SOAS, University of London. He is a recipient of the Corry Prize in Economics. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts. Kweku holds the CAIA designation and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.
