LONDON, 4-5 SEPTEMBER 2012
Let's not lose the decade - Stepping up to the investment challenge

Mercer's 2012 Global Investment Forums will explore what positive actions can be pursued in order to grasp opportunities and constrain risk over the coming period ahead. The Forum also provides the opportunity to exchange ideas and debate current issues facing the investment industry with key Mercer investment professionals and colleagues.

London is the final Forum in our series. The event is being held on 4 and 5 September, with a welcome drinks reception the evening of 3 September.

Highlights of the one and-a-half day program in London include:

  • Our keynote speaker is Frank Gardner. Frank is the UK's first full-time security correspondent, reporting on issues of both domestic and international security for the BBC. He spent nine years as an investment banker before switching to journalism in 1995 and has since been awarded an OBE for his services to journalism. Survivor of an al-Qeada attack in Saudi Arabia in 2004, Frank will be discussing...
  • Back to the Future - Investing with hindsight. What we have learned from the past and how we can implement practical steps to survive and grow in the future.
  • Facing real life scenarios: an interactive portfolio construction workshop.
  • Fiduciary Management and Mercer's service delivery model.
  • A panel discussion on Fair Capitalism, with perspectives from Mercer, an asset owner, a board member and an asset manager.
