David H. Jackson, Ph.D.
David Jackson, a Worldwide Partner based in Mercer's Baltimore/Washington office, advises clients on employment branding, total rewards, HR strategy, and strategic communication. David serves clients in North America, Europe and Asia.
Representative engagements include:
- Global employment value proposition strategy, from research through actionable recommendations, for a multinational engineering, design, and construction firm. Focus groups were conducted by the Mercer team in India, Australia, UK/Europe and the Americas by an integrated communications and human capital team. Results were reviewed by executive management and are being implemented currently.
- Global candidate value proposition assignment for the world's pre-eminent software development corporation, including surveys and focus groups with current and prospective talent in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
- Employment relationship branding for one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical manufacturers, conducting external and internal research, developing the brand messages, and training managers to make the brand come alive along the full talent management continuum.
- Corporate culture assignments for two of the largest US-based energy generation corporations to drive a clear understanding of employment value through strategic communication and training initiatives.
David received his B.A. (magna cum laude) from Occidental College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and serves on the Board of Governors' Executive Committee. He earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University, where he was President's Fellow and serves on the Graduate School alumni board. He speaks and publishes on a wide range of HR topics with recent articles on employment branding in Strategic HR Review and Compensation and Benefits International.
