Paula Barnes, BSN, MPA
Paula Barnes is a Principal in the Health & Productivity Management (HPM) specialty practice in Mercer’s Minneapolis office. Paula primarily focuses on the Midwest market while serving as a national clinical resource in the areas of medical operations, decision support and care management. She has considerable experience in managing large projects and assisting clients in program design and achieving measurable, positive results.
Paula has over 30 years of experience in the health care industry. During her career, Paula has worked for MAXIMUS, the Consortium Health Plans, Integrated Therapeutics Group, Preferred Health Systems, BCBS of the National Capital Area and the US Navy Nurse Corp. Through these employers, Paula acquired extensive health care and HPM industry experience including: medical operations, call center management, network development and provider contracting, decision support, care management, health informatics and project management.
Paula received her BS in Nursing from the College of St. Teresa's and a Masters in Public Administration from JFK School of Government at Harvard University.
