Luis Fernando Higuera
Luis Higuera is market leader and director of health and benefits for Mercer's office in Chile. He is responsible for the human resources and health consultancy businesses and life and health brokerages. He leads the teams responsible for strategical benefits projects for Chilean and multinational clients, provides advisory services as well as solutions in compensation issues and health and benefits consulting services.
Before joining Mercer,, Luis worked as social security, compensation and insured benefits manager for 10 years in the Colombian Marsh office, a subsidiary of MMC. Luis has expertise in Latin American social security systems and health and benefits models, and he has lectured at various international conferences.
Luis holds a doctor of optometry degree from La Salle University in Bogotá, Colombia and a postgraduate degree in health management from the Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud. He has a specialization in project management from the EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombia.
