Sergio Torres

Sergio Cross is a worldwide partner and chief executive officer of Mercer operations in Mexico. Sergio's focus primarily has been on large Mexican and multinational companies based in the Americas on a variety of human resource consulting assignments, including general HR consulting, M&A, health and group benefits, flexible benefit programs and the design of retirement benefit programs and HR organizations.
Sergio's M&A experience encompasses large and small transactions, the most significant being the integration of a large domestic bottling company to a global corporation. Sergio led the HR team, including outside counseling (tax, legal, auditing, etc.).
Sergio has worked with corporations including Alfa, Avon, Banamex, Bimbo, Delphi, Emerson, Hewlett Packard, Monsanto, Nortel Networks, PBG, PepsiCo, and Tyco. He is an independent director of the Board of MetLife Afore, MetLife's Pension Fund Administration Company and serves on the board of directors of other important companies in México.
Sergio is a member of the Mexican Association of Consulting Actuaries, with a professional degree from Universidad Anáhuac and business studies at IPADE.
