Javier Tabakman
Mercer - Buenos Aires
Javier Tabakman is the human capital director for the Southern Cone, responsible for the HR consulting operations in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. Javier leads the working teams responsible for the HR strategic projects with important clients, and he is responsible for the practices of variable pay, sales force incentives, compensation surveys, position and salary structure evaluation, organizational climate, performance evaluation, Feedback 360 and HR strategies.
Javier is the director of the Organizational Excellence Centre (CEO) an agreement between Mercer and RHO created for the Development and Research in Organizational Climate and Culture, Feedback 360 and change management.
Before joining Mercer, Javier worked for two years as compensation and benefits regional manager and supply chain HR generalist for Reckitt Benckiser, a global force in household, health and personal care, and was responsible for Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela and Costa Rica. From 1999 to 2003, Javier worked for Citibank, holding different managerial positions. He was compensation and benefits manager for the Southern Cone, assisting the different Citigroup businesses in the region, employment manager and HR manager for the Corporate Banking in Argentina, being responsible for all HR areas in the wholesale business.
Javier has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires, and has specialized in corporate management. He completed the HR Executive Total Rewards Program in Thunderbird University, Phoenix. He has been a speaker and lecturer at seminars and forums. Currently, he is the director of the compensation and benefits unit and lecturer of the human capital unit in the HR Executive Program, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
