Wilfried Meyer
Head of Human Resources Asia/ Australia/ Middle East Executive Vice-President and Member of the Management Board Siemens Ltd., China
Wilfried Meyer joined Siemens in 1975 and prior to relocating to Beijing, he has held various senior level positions in different Siemens Business Groups, functions such as Finance, Purchasing, IT and Human Resources and in four countries of Germany, Australia, South Africa and the USA.
In 1993, Wilfried became Head of the Corporate Executive Development department for Siemens; his responsibilities included the identification, coaching and development planning for all Siemens top potentials as well as for the incumbents of the company's key positions worldwide.
From 1999 to 2004, he was the Head of Human Resources with global responsibility for the Siemens Power Generation Group; during this time, he successfully integrated the former Westinghouse and Alstom Power Generation businesses.
In the year 2004 Wilfried was appointed as the Executive Vice-President and Member of the Management Board and Director of Human Resources for Siemens Ltd. China, a position he held for 4 years.
In May 2008 he took over additional responsibilities as the Head of Human Resources Asia/Australia/ Middle East.
Wilfried earned a MBA at Duke University USA. He loves various sports, such as tennis, golf, skiing. His wife and the youngest son joined him in Beijing while the other sons live in Germany.
