Dr. Krisanapol Komolboon
Managing Director, PTT Retail Management Company Limited and
Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning for the Oil Business Group at PTT Public Company Limited
Dr Krisanapol is currently the Executive Vice President in charge of Strategic Planning for the Oil Business Group at PTT Public Company Limited, where he is responsible for strategic planning and business development for the Oil Business Group. He has a Doctorate in Philosophy Chemistry from the University of Detroit (USA).
Dr Krisanapol began his career with PTT as a Process Design engineer in 1982, where he spent four years working on high profile natural gas projects including Gas Separation Plant I and II, Lan Krabue Gas Separation Plant and Natural Gas Transportation Project. In 1986 he moved into Information Technology, with specific responsibility for the development of the Executive Information System (EIS) LAN and WAN for PTT offices nationwide, and was appointed Vice President of the ICT Department in 1996.
The same year, Dr Krisanapol was made head of the Business Development Department, responsible for PTT's new projects. In this role he oversaw the expansion from its existing business such as Gas Separation Plant 5 and Yetagoon Gas separation Plant, and related business such as Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Dr Krisanapol was involved in business development and marketing analysis.
Dr Krisanapol was then appointed the Director of E-Business in 2001 and was responsible for several projects such as e- infrastructure and e- Procurement. In his current role as Executive Vice President in charge of Strategic Planning for Oil Business Group he is responsible for strategic planning and business development for the Oil Business Group.
PTT is Thailand's largest integrated Oil and Gas company. Its main business is in retail oil and gas with more than 1,200 stations throughout the country. PTT Group has more than 100 companies as its subsidiaries and affiliates. The Group business ranges from the exploration and production of oil and gas to refinery and petrochemical product manufacturing.
