Kumar Kymal
Head of Global Compensation, Nokia
Kumar Kymal is an International HR executive with over 20 years of experience in Human Resources in the high tech sector. He has held a variety of senior HR management roles in global organisations such as Nokia, Cisco and NCR. He has hands-on experience across the whole spectrum of HR functional areas including C&B, Talent Management, Change Management and M&A.
In his current role, Kumar is global director of compensation at Nokia, where he has worked for the past seven years.
Before joining Nokia, Kumar was at Cisco Systems in Paris, France, as head of HR for Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa; in his first role at Cisco he established the compensation & benefits function for EMEA.
Kumar began his career at NCR in the US and worked for over 10 year in multiple locations in both the US and the UK .His last role prior to joining Cisco was as the global HR director for NCR’s financial self service business based in the UK.
Kumar holds an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and a Masters in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin – Madison (USA).
