Anne Ruddy
President of WorldatWork
Anne Ruddy is president of WorldatWork and its affiliated organisations, Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP) and WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals.
Prior to joining WorldatWork, Anne was a vice president at Travelers and, following the Citibank merger, led one of Citigroup's first cross-sell initiatives for small-business customers. She held senior executive positions at Aetna Life & Casualty. She left Aetna in 1994 to manage the Arizona insurance brokerage operation of Alexander & Alexander Inc., but returned to Aetna the next year as a vice president to lead the creation and development of a new national strategic business unit.
Under Anne’s leadership, WorldatWork was recognized as a distinguished organization by the National Academy of Human Resources in 2005. In 2008, WorldatWork received the Alfred P. Sloan award for business excellence in workplace flexibility. It was also named one of the Top 25 workplaces for women in the Valley.
Anne has been quoted in numerous business publications including USA Today, Forbes, Baltimore Examiner, San Diego Union-Tribune, Globe & Mail, as well as broadcast media such as Wall Street Journal Radio. She is a frequent speaker on the subject of employee engagement, total rewards, ethics, and the future of the HR profession.
