Dr Sangram Tambe

Dr. Sangram Tambe is vice president — corporate human resources and administration at Tata Motors.
A gold medallist MBA in human resources and marketing and a fellow of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Dr Tambe brings over 20 years' experience in human resources in varied industries like automotive/engineering, information technology, pharmaceuticals and chemicals. He has worked in different companies, including Escorts, Modi Olivetti, Hindustan Ciba-Geigy and Ciba Specialty Chemicals.
Before joining us, he was vice president - human resources and engine application business in Mahindra and Mahindra.
Dr. Tambe is among the very few HR specialists in India, with experience in managing a business. He started the Engine Application Business in M&M and grew it exponentially in the last four years. Dr Tambe has expertise in organisation restructuring, training and development, compensation, international assignments and mergers and acquisitions. He has handled divestments, mergers, de-mergers, joint venture formations and acquisitions, both in domestic and cross-border environments.
