Ashwani is currently working in Singapore as the Regional Head of Total Rewards for Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia, for American Express. His job involves leading the design and development of Rewards strategies for the region - this includes supporting businesses and entities across the region. Key businesses supported include Banking, Credit Cards, Customer Service, Risk Analytics, Travel, Operations and Finance. Key work involves Base Pay Strategy, Variable Pay & Stock plan Design, Health & Wellness, Work-Life, Performance Management, Re-engineering Benefits & Integration of Pay Programs with Career & Development.
Ashwani is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and a Global remuneration Professional (GRP). He is also a certified World at Work faculty and has taught Total Rewards courses in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and India. Prior to working in Amex, Ashwani held senior positions at Standard Chartered Group, General Mills and Mattel Toys, and has worked internationally across the Region & in the United States.
Ashwani's key areas of interest are to drive business performance & employee engagement, using a Total Rewards approach and to predict the future of employment and its impact on employee engagement. He has been able to frequently demonstrate the impact of HR strategies on profitability, customer experience and employee engagement in organizations.
