Jeff Biteen
Asst. Vice President, Compensation & Benefits, Manulife Financial Corporation
Jeffrey is the Assistant Vice President, Compensation & Benefits for Asia at Manulife Financial Corporation, based in Hong Kong. He is accountable for the development and maintenance of total rewards (compensation, benefits and pension) policies and programs that allow the company to attract, reward, motivate and retain high-calibre talent within the Asia regional office and local operating businesses. The position has direct responsibility for division-wide programs and acts as a consultant to the local HR departments on country-specific policies.
An accomplished senior HR professional with broad, global industry and consulting experience, he also has excellent project management and communication skills. He has a proven track record of strategic thinking and execution, with extensive technical expertise in all areas of total rewards design and administration – as well as overall HR management.
Jeffrey has gained his prior global HR experience with companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and BCE Inc.
He has a B.Sc (Mathematics) from McGill University, Montreal and an M.S. (Operations Research & Statistics) from Rensellaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He is current working as a volunteer with WorldatWork as a course instructor, committee chair, board member and association president.
