Prabir Jha leads the Human Resources function and is also responsible for Corporate Communications at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, a New York Stock Exchange listed, India-headquartered, global pharmaceutical company.
Prabir moved to the corporate world after almost 10 years in the prestigious Indian Civil Services. Prior to joining Dr. Reddy’s in 2002, he was with organizations like Thermax Limited, an engineering and environment leader and Mahindra British Telecom (now TechMahindra), a top Indian software firm. Through his career, and especially at Dr. Reddy's, he has made key contributions to many high-end HR interventions. He has a special interest in Change Management, Global HR strategy, Employer Branding and Leadership Capability Development.
An alumnus of St. Stephen's College, Delhi and of the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, during his time as a civil servant, Prabir handled the entire gamut of HR & Industrial Relations responsibilities while with the Indian Ordnance Factories. A recipient of several academic and professional awards, Prabir was named the "HR Professional of the Year" at the World HRD Congress in 2009. He was also conferred the Global HR Leadership Award for 2008-09 at the Asia-Pacific HR Congress and is featured in the list of "40 most powerful HR professionals in India". Prabir is a regular contributor to leading professional journals and is a much sought after speaker at HR thought leadership seminars and a faculty at leading B-schools.
