Mercer's 2017 Asia HR Conference saw over 200 HR professionals converge in Singapore for two days of lively discussion and inspiring presentations. Delegates came from far and wide to stay updated on the challenges of HR and rewards in the region.
The theme for this year was "Cultivating a Thriving Workforce in an Era of Disruption" and offered pertinent insights into how HR professionals can make an impact and drive strategic goals in today's business environment as well as the digitalization of work and how best to use big data and analytics.
Andrew Sidwell of Amrop delivered a rousing keynote address on overcoming buzzwords and navigating the behavioral shifts that underpin a journey of innovation in different organizations. Experts from Netflix, OCBC Bank, Siemens and Olam International came together to discuss how leaders can facilitate transformation, while Julie Yoo of predictive analytics company pymetrics spoke on gamification in the hiring process.
Zia Zaman, Chief Innovation Officer at Metlife Asia also explored the changing tides of business in Asia and how a large multinational company can build a model for sustainable growth with HR as change leaders in his keynote presentation.
