Mercer’s 2017 Asia Total Rewards Conference saw over 100 HR professionals converge in Hong Kong for two days of lively discussion and inspiring presentations. Delegates came from far and wide to stay updated on the challenges of HR and rewards in the region.
The theme for this year was "Cultivating a Thriving Workforce in an Era of Disruption" and offered pertinent insights into how HR professionals can make an impact and drive strategic goals in today's business environment as well as the digitalization of work and how best to use big data and analytics.
Andrew Sidwell of Amrop delivered a rousing keynote address on overcoming buzzwords and navigating the behavioral shifts that underpin a journey of innovation in different organizations. Experts from Shun Shing Group, Mariott International, and Microsoft, came together to discuss how leaders cultivate a thriving workforce, while Monita Lee, of market expansion services provider DKSH, together with Kim Fravil of Mercer | Sirota, spoke on how engagement can help businesses thrive. Rob Koepp of The Economist Corporate Network also shared the macroeconomic trends in Asia and its implications to businesses in the region in his keynote presentation.
